Less fear of AI advancements

Fears of an AI-dominated future are waning. Increased advances in AI are seen as enhancements to human abilities rather than an existential threat to the human species. At least according to an article in New York Magazine that rules out the “AI-doomers”. You can read all about it here.

Meanwhile, Microsoft plans to invest $3.2 billion in Sweden’s data centers. This project involves expanding facilities in Gävle, Sandviken, and Staffanstorp and collaborating with local institutions to provide AI training for 250,000 Swedes. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek recently stressed Europe’s need to embrace bold ideas to compete globally in innovation. Ek criticized Europe’s socialist inclinations for stifling large-scale company creation and called for leaders capable of handling criticism to drive progress. A significant topic among music fans is Drake’s new song, “Wah Gwan Delilah.” Released on SoundCloud by user Snowd4y, it sparked debates about whether it’s genuinely his work or generated by artificial intelligence.
