WHY SMALLER IS USUALLY BETTER IN PR

A lot of companies starting with PR only want to get published in big outlets.

But do not neglect getting articles in smaller regional and industry outlets. It is usually easier to get mentioned in them, and they often need good material, so you have a bigger chance with them.

At the same time, if you get published each month in 5-10 regional outlets and industry outlets that are read by your target group, I will choose that every time over one big article in the large international or international outlet if that's only happening ones a year.

No one remembers that single article a in a year from now. But those ten publications. The people reading them will remember. Especially if you show up sharing knowledge, experience, and value rather than pitch how phenomenal you are.

You build thought-leadership and do great public relations by consistently showing up, authentically sharing your knowledge where your audience is. Remember it's called public RELATIONS for a reason. So, it's about building real relationships.

Sell as seldom as possible. Share knowledge as often as you can.

If you have an important message: say it. Be authentic and real. Be brave. Don't try to impress. But aim to make a real impression.

And do not neglect the value in going small but consistent.

In PR depth beats reach. Every time.
